Hello World. I am Sascha.
I'm an documentary and lifestyle photographer and producer based in the commuter belt of London, UK.
My practice focuses on documenting local communities around the world which have much to say but are not being heard by the mainstream Western media.
I work with local thought-leaders, engage in their stories and aim to identify the best angle to get their story through to those who wish to listen to the strong Social Justice and Social Fabric that exists beyond the negative news that we are used to.
My aim is to preserve the integrity of the communities I engage with, tell their story from their perspectives, speckled with their emotions - past and present.
In an ideal world, the resulting photo, video and documental archives that are being created, preserve the values and stories of these communities and are not tainted by ideology. But rather serve the communities need to be heard, enable them to reach out to the world and help them connect with their diaspora and those who want to listen.
